The Arlington County Police Department’s School Resource Officer Unit is currently accepting applications to the Summer Safety Patrol Camp. This week-long camp is offered to incoming 4th and 5th grade students who want to participate in safety patrols during the upcoming academic year.
Arlington County Police Officers teach students attending this camp the various responsibilities of being an effective safety patrol member. During the academic year, safety patrol members help keep other students safe on their way to and from school. As school-age leaders in traffic safety, they remind other students of the safety rules learned during this camp and help guide them in safe crossing and bus passenger procedures. Safety patrol members serve as models to younger students.

The cost of each session is $95.00 per student. A check made payable to “Treasurer of Arlington County” must be attached to the completed application.
