The documents listed below are considered the “Background Packet.” Upon successfully passing the written entrance exam, all applicants will be required to complete the forms and documents as listed below. Once completed, all documents will need to be sent to:

All forms are in PDF format and require use of Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or higher. The Personal History Statement can be completed within the PDF document and printed for submission at the time of your scheduled written examination. Unless you have the Acrobat writing software, you will be unable to save your completed documents for electronic submission. All of these forms are required to be completed for employment consideration at the Arlington County Police Department after the initial phases of employment selection (for officers: the exam, for civilians: an interview).
